View measurement results online

This article explains how to view laboratory and sensor measurement results online in BriqSafe. It is intended for engineers and viewers who need to enter, access, and download measurement data for compliance purposes.

Note

Required role: Engineer to enter results and generate reports; Viewer can open and download existing reports.

Entering Laboratory Measurement Results

After the external laboratory returns measured values for a collected sample, you can enter these values into the system to evaluate compliance.

  1. Open Actions and locate the Lab results pending card.
  2. Select Enter results on the pending lab-results entry item to open the entry Job.
  3. On the Actions tab, enter the measured value for each laboratory parameter defined by the Activity.
  4. Optionally, add any notes relevant to the results.
  5. Choose Complete Job to save the entered results and trigger compliance evaluation.

Note: All parameters configured for your organisation and regime must be entered before completing the Job. Completing the Job is necessary for compliance to be evaluated properly.

Important: This workflow only runs in the web app. The mobile app's Lab results card is a placeholder and does not yet allow entering values.

Locating and Understanding Lab-Results Entry Jobs

Returned laboratory values are captured on follow-up Jobs created automatically after completing a sampling Job at the same Location.

  1. When a sampling Job is completed, BriqSafe creates a lab-results entry Job assigned to the Location’s managers with a due date about two months later.
  2. This lab-results entry Job appears under the Lab results pending card on the Actions page.
  3. Enter the values on this Job; there is no separate laboratory record outside of these Jobs.

Warning: If automatic creation fails, the user completing the sampling Job sees a warning and must create the lab-results entry Job manually.

Tip: Do not look for lab-results entry under the Labs menu, as it is an experimental placeholder not connected to sample results.

Generating and Accessing Lab Results Reports

Once the lab-results entry Job is completed, you can generate a PDF report to share or audit the results.

  1. Open the completed lab-results entry Job.
  2. Scroll to the lab-results report section at the bottom of the Actions tab.
  3. Start the report generation and wait for it to process.
  4. Choose Download to save the PDF locally. The report is also automatically saved into the Documents library.

Requirements: Generating a report requires report-creation rights; Viewers without these rights can only download existing reports.

To obtain a previously generated lab-results report without generating a new one:

  1. Open the completed lab-results entry Job or find the report PDF in the Documents library.
  2. Choose Download to get a local copy.

Note: View-only roles can download existing reports but cannot generate new ones. If no report exists, request a user with report-generation permissions to create it.

Storing Laboratory Certificates

The platform does not provide a dedicated upload field for laboratory certificates on the lab-results entry Job.

  1. Upload certificate PDFs manually into the Documents library to keep them alongside compliance records.
  2. Use the generated lab-results report as the official audit artifact linked to the results.

Important: Lab result entry is manual, and there is no automatic laboratory data ingestion, pass/fail flags, or dedicated review lists built into BriqSafe.

Viewing Measurement Data from IoT Devices

You can view sensor readings and device details deployed at a Location to monitor device health and measurement status.

  1. Open the Location and select the IoT Devices tab.
  2. The list shows each device’s Name, Type, Status, Battery, Signal, Last Seen timestamp, and linked Asset.
  3. Use the search box and filters by Status and Type to narrow the list.
  4. Press Refresh to update live device metadata pulled from the sensor platform.
  5. Open a specific device row to view detailed information including its unique DevEUI, manufacturer, model, and sensor data charts.

Note: The Status reflects device connectivity only (Online, Offline, Pending, Unknown), not compliance. Pending means the device is registered but has not sent any readings yet.

Important: Sensor readings do not generate in-app alerts directly. Any compliance impact from sensor data is evaluated automatically via scheduled Jobs and risk rules.

Reviewing Auto-Completed Jobs from Sensor Readings

When sensors are mapped to Jobs, their readings can automatically complete Jobs without manual data entry.

  1. If a Job is pending or in progress and requests parameters measured by a sensor, a fresh sensor reading within a staleness window (default 24 hours) fills the Job’s parameters automatically.
  2. If all required parameters are filled, the Job status becomes Completed; if only some, the Job remains In Progress; if none are filled, it stays Pending.
  3. Open the completed Job to verify the sensor data, noting each parameter carries a value, unit, timestamp, and sensor provenance.

The sensor-completed Jobs behave identically to manually completed ones in the system.

Accessing Reports and Documents

All generated reports and uploaded documents, including lab-results PDFs and certificates, reside in the Documents library accessible to your organisation members.

  1. Open Documents from the sidebar to browse folders and files.
  2. Use filters such as Type and Sort By to locate the needed files.
  3. Select a report or document entry to open its details and choose Download to save a local copy.

Note: Download links are time-limited and expire after an hour. Reopen the entry to generate a fresh link if needed.

On mobile, the Documents area opens inside an in-app authenticated web view, behaving like the full web library.

Quick Access to Recently Generated Reports

From the My BriqSafe home screen, you can quickly open recently generated reports.

  • On the web, find the Latest Reports section in the left column and click any report to open.
  • On mobile, scroll to the Latest Reports section and tap to view or download the report.

If a report file is not yet available, wait for the export process to finish before opening.
