IoT Device Integration and Sensor Data

BriqSafe allows the registration and management of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, primarily sensors used for real-time environmental and compliance monitoring.

• Registering New IoT Devices: Administrators can register new IoT sensors via IoT Devices → Add Device. Supported device sources include factory or other approved providers. Device registration includes selecting the device model, naming the device, and specifying its type. Devices remain in Pending status until successfully paired.
• Device Pairing: Field consultants can pair sensors on-site by scanning their QR codes through the mobile app's onboarding job interface. Upon successful pairing and connectivity testing, sensors become Active.
• Sensor Threshold Configuration: Thresholds such as minimum and maximum temperatures and notification recipients are configured either automatically via linked parameter configurations or manually through Sensor Settings. This ensures compliance alerts trigger correctly.
• Linking Devices to Assets: Consultant roles connect IoT devices with specific BriqSafe assets through the asset details page under the IoT Devices tab. Sensor entities are mapped to compliance parameters, enabling automatic population of readings into compliance forms.
• Sensor Dashboards and Monitoring: Users can monitor device status, including live readings and gateway connectivity, from the Location's Systems section. Sensor alerts and offline statuses are clearly indicated.
• Sensor Data Usage: Sensor readings are utilized by the Rule Engine to auto-complete scheduled compliance jobs, evaluate compliance thresholds, and trigger non-compliance cases and escalations as necessary. Historical sensor data is archived for manual review even when no active jobs exist.

Lab Results and Certificates Integration

BriqSafe supports integration of external laboratory results to automate compliance evaluation and maintain audit trails.

• Lab Result Entry: Office consultants can enter measured values against water samples collected during Visits. The system evaluates these against regulatory thresholds, displaying pass/fail indicators.
• Attaching Lab Certificates: Lab certificates in PDF, JPEG, or PNG formats can be uploaded and linked to sample records to ensure traceability. File size limits apply.
• Compliance Evaluation: Submitted lab results automatically update compliance statuses and trigger notifications, including potential escalation to case management for non-compliant results.
• Auto-Saved Lab Reports: Generated Lab Results Reports are saved in the Location's Documents → Certificates of Analysis folder for easy access, download, and sharing.

User and Access Management Systems

BriqSafe integrates comprehensive user management features ensuring secure and appropriate access control across your organisation.

• Account Creation and Invitations: New users can create accounts or be invited by organisation admins. Invitations specify roles, user types (internal/external), and permissions scoped to activity categories and sites.
• Role and Permission Updates: Admins can modify user roles, site access, and activity category permissions with immediate effect to reflect changing responsibilities or qualifications.
• Scoped Site Access for External Users: External users such as subcontractors or partners are granted explicit access only to selected locations and activity categories to limit exposure.

Platform Administration and Compliance Configuration

• Jurisdictions and Regulatory Domains: Administrators select applicable countries and regulatory domains during initial setup. These define the compliance scope and available regulatory frameworks.
• System and Activity Types: Platform admins define system types (e.g., HVAC, hot water loops) and activity types that drive compliance rules, scheduling, and data capture.
• Control Regimes and Compliance Rules: Named compliance policies group regulatory rules by jurisdiction and domain. Visual rule builders allow creation of IF-THEN rules that automatically generate required activities.
• Risk Rules: Parameter threshold rules detect non-compliance during activity execution and trigger case creation with severity levels based on defined limits.
• Parameter Configuration and Data Capture: Admins manage parameter sets associated with asset, system, or activity types. These parameters form the basis of compliance data collection during inspections and sensor mappings.
