This article explains how to generate a risk assessment report and finish an assessment in BriqSafe. It is intended for inspectors and engineers working on risk assessments who need to produce formal reports and formally complete their assessments.
NoteRequired role: Inspector or Engineer
Generate a Risk Assessment Report
Use this process to produce the formal compliance report for a risk assessment that can be shared with your client.
- Open the risk assessment you want to report on.
- Open the Generate Report section.
- Review the pre-filled and locked fields: the Report Type (either "PPCL — Plan de Prevención y Control de Legionella" or "PSL — Plan Sanitario de Legionella"), Site, and Risk Assessment. The report type is set by the location's assigned regime and cannot be changed.
- Optionally, select a different Report Preset. If none is chosen, the default configuration is used.
- Select Generate Report. The status changes from "Processing" to "Ready" when complete.
- If you update assessment data and need an updated report or want to use a different preset, select Regenerate to produce a fresh copy.
Notes:
- You do not need to finish the assessment before generating the report; the report reflects the data as it is when generated.
- The report always covers the entire assessment scope; there is no option to limit it by structure, area, or asset at report generation time.
- Report content may not appear translated into languages such as Spanish, Dutch, German, French, or Italian because auto-translation is currently not supported.
Download or Email a Risk Assessment Report
After the report status shows Ready, you can save or send the report to clients or colleagues.
- Select Download to save a PDF copy locally.
- To send by email, open the report entry from the Documents page and select Share.
- Add one or more recipients chosen from your organisation's active members. You can also add optional CC recipients.
- Set the email subject and optionally add a message.
- Send the email. Each recipient will get a secure download link that expires after 24 hours.
Notes:
- Only organisation members can be selected as recipients; external email addresses cannot be entered.
- The download link expires 24 hours after sending, so recipients must download the file within that time.
- The report is sent as a download link, not as an email attachment.
- Report content translation limitations also apply here.
Finish a Risk Assessment
Finishing an assessment formally closes it and locks its data from further edits.
- Open the risk assessment to be finished.
- Open the Risk Conclusion stage. This stage only becomes available after all other stages are marked done.
- Ensure that all data is complete and the conclusion is correctly written, as finishing is irreversible.
- At the bottom (footer), select Finish assessment.
- In the confirmation dialog titled Finish risk assessment?, read the warning that this action cannot be undone.
- Confirm by selecting Finish assessment.
- The assessment is now marked finished and removed from the default active list.
Notes:
- Once finished, the assessment cannot be reopened or modified.
- The finish action is irreversible; the confirmation dialog explicitly warns this.
- If the assessment is already finished, the button will show as Finished and no action occurs.
- It is not required to generate the report before finishing the assessment.
